Admi Syarif received the Bachelor of Science in Mathematics from Padjadjaran University, Indonesia in 1990, and the Ph.D. degree in industrial and information engineering from Ashikaga Institute of Technology, Japan, in 2004. He is currently an Associate Professor with the Department of Computer Science, Lampung University, Indonesia. He was a director of the research center of Lampung University from 2010 to 2016; and has been a national research reviewer of the Ministry of Education and Culture, Republic Indonesia, since 2014. He received an award as the best researches in Information Technology from the Ministry of Research and Technology, Indonesia, in 2009.
His papers have been published in some international journals including International Journal of Computer and Industrial Engineering, Zeitschrift fur Analysis und Ihre Anwendungen, Inverse Problems, International Journal of Applied Mathematics, International Journal of Smart Engineering System Design, Journal of Intelligent Manufacturing, International Journal of Knowledge-Based Intelligent Engineering Systems, Complex Variables, and so on. He has been attending and presenting his papers in several international conferences in Japan (Oita, Tokyo, Kyoto, and Nagoya), Hong Kong, New Zealand, USA (Florida, Las Vegas, San Francisco, Maui Island), China (Beijing and Zhangjiajie), Singapore, Australia, South Korea (Cheju island and Seoul), and so on. He has been invited as a keynote speaker and invited speaker for some conferences. He also has published several books and book-chapter. He is an Editorial Board Member of several journals. His research interest includes combinatorial optimization, evolutionary algorithms, Artificial intelligence, and decision support system.
